So, you own or manage a small business. You've noticed how dependent your business is becoming on computers and you know that technology is necessary in today's business world, but you wonder if you are using technology to the best advantage of your business. Are you spending enough - are you spending too much?

Customers can be good at technology too

NetPro recognizes that small business are owned and/or managed by intelligent people who often understand technology quite well. These folks may already know which aspects of their technology needs they can handle themselves, but are also smart enough to know what they need help with. 

We can provide guidance and technology management services to customers who want to implement technology themselves as a cost saving measure. Whether you need a little advice, or a completely designed and implemented solution, or something in between, NetPro understands and will work with you.

Technology is a means to an end

Most "techies" enjoy the newest, fastest, most ingenious technologies simply because they are new, fast and ingenious. Admittedly, we fit this description! NetPro understands, however, that for a business, technology is a tool designed to make operations more efficient and in the end, to improve the bottom line. In light of this, we feel the cost of implementing new technologies must be justified, and we may recommend staying with current technology or implementing something older because it meets the needs of the business and costs less.

Business operations should not be interrupted

One key lesson we have learned from experiences working with larger companies is that technology should revolve around business operations and not the reverse. In larger environments changes or upgrades are usually planned during off hours so that operations can continue normally. NetPro actually prefers to make changes in the evenings or weekends and unlike many technology service companies, we won't charge extra to work during off hours.

Another strategy used by larger companies to keep operations running is to use preventive measures rather than waiting for computers to crash and then fixing them. Imagine skipping regular service for your car or truck in order to save money! Yet this is what many small businesses do with their computers. NetPro can implement regular maintenance for your computers that can help prevent crashes by detecting problems before a crash.

NetPro knows that no matter how well your technology is planned, crashes will occasionally happen. Most people have had an experience where their computer was down and the computer guy or gal needed to come to their office or cubicle to fix it. Maybe you can remember the frustration of knowing that you could be doing work that didn't require a computer if the person fixing it wasn't sitting in your chair and talking on your phone! Our preference is to pick up your computer and work on it offsite or to connect remotely to your computer to work on it, so you won't be displaced from your desk.  In many cases, we'll actually charge less for work performed offsite.

Educated users are productive users

It has been our professional experience that most businesses possess technology they never use because they don't know it's there, or because they don't understand it. Even worse, many companies roll out new technology without properly training their people on its features, thinking that they can't afford to pay for training. We believe uneducated users will experience more downtime and be less productive, eventually costing the company more money! NetPro has an extensive professional background in technology training that qualifies us uniquely to explain your technology in a way you can understand.
